- What does fail miserably mean? How are you invoking slip? Are you using
- dip and a script? Have you tried dip -v so you can watch the dip
- progress? Does your kernel have slip support compiled into it. Do you
- set up your serial ports in RC.local? Have you set up your routes and
- addresses? Do you have and IP address or expect to get one from the
- ISP? Does the script dial, but not connect; connect but not log in; log
- in but not start slip? Need a little more information . . .
